CENTURY HOME PLAQUE RECOGNITION

The Rocky River Historical Society is proud to recognize the  Century Homes in Rocky River.  Owners of homes that are 100 years old and older  are eligible to receive an engraved brushed aluminum plaque, 7” x 5” x .25”,  weather-resistant and suitable for mounting near the front entrance of their homes.  Each plaque shows the year that the house was built with “Century Home” and “Rocky River Historical Society” in raised letters.  Solid wall mounts are provided. Along with the plaque, Century Homeowners  will  receive a frameable  certificate designed by Rocky River High School students and a complimentary  one-year family membership in the Rocky River Historical Society.  The cost of  the Century Home package is $180.00.
The Cuyahoga County Fiscal Officer provides searchable records to determine the age of any residential building.  To search, go to https://myplace.cuyahogacounty.us.  Select Rocky River from the list of municipalities in the top left box. Then, select “address search” and insert the street address of the residence.  Select “Property Summary” and scroll down to the box containing “Building Information.”  There,  you will find an entry showing the Year Built for the residence.   If you prefer, you may  email the Rocky River Historical Society and one of the volunteers will complete research to determine the age of the home. The email address is rrhistoricalsociety@gmail.com
To enroll your Century Home, please complete  and return  the Century Home Plaque Application and proceed to the Store on this website for payment. The information about the age of the home is subject to verification by Rocky River Historical Society volunteers.  Please allow 5-6 weeks for delivery.
