Jesse Grover Bell was a cosmetics salesman in Kansas when in 1927, at age 37, he decided to move his family to Cleveland, Ohio and start his own cosmetics business. He named it after his daughter, Bonne Bell.
While doing research about the early history of Cleveland, Ohio, and especially Rocky River, one encounters the Pease surname many times. Here Gay Christensen-Deane has attempted to sort out all the people and some of the relationships.
Thanks to a joint effort between Rocky River Historical Society and Cowan Pottery Museum Associates, a new Ohio historical marker was unveiled May 13 on the front lawn of the house that once served as a showroom for the Cowan Pottery Studio from 1913 to 1931.
